Thanks to our dear colleague, military historian, colonel Dragan Krsmanovic,
our Museum staged its exhibition SERBIAN JEWS IN THE WORLD WAR ONE in the National Museum of the beautiful city of Užice, western Serbia. Exhibition was opened on 24th April, 2018, in the attractive dept. of National Museum called “The Jokanovic’s House” in the old center of the city.
Citizens, students, city authorities, local TV and journalists were present.
Our Museum was represented by Ms. Rada Petrović, head of the Museum Board, Mr. Aleksandar Gaon, vice president of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Serbia, Ms. Barbara Panic, the Museum curator and Vojislava Radovanović, director of the Museum and author of this exhibition which was originally made in 2014, on the occasion of 100 years anniversary of the beginning of the World War One.
This is 13th visit of our exhibition to the cities of western Serbia.
We apprecite hospitality of the National Museum of Užice. Exhibition will stay for a couple of weeks.
