Since 1971, the Museum publishes technical periodicals and the scientific publication “The Compendium of the Jewish Historical Museum”. Until 2003, 8 volumes of the Compendium have been published, and the preparation of the ninth volume is underway. The Museum has published two separate monographs on the topic of World War Two: “Memories of Jews of the Jasenovac Camp”, Belgrade 1972, and “Jews of Yugoslavia between 1941- 1945, Victims of the Holocaust and Members of the National Liberation War”, by Dr. Jaša Romano, Belgrade 1980. All exhibitions of the Jewish Historical Museum, and especially the study exhibitions (exhibitions of textile, books, newspapers, holiday habits, the life cycle customs, youth societies, etc.) were accompanied by catalogues, monographs, and 2 CD ROMs so far. The culture of Sephardic Jews was the topic of the publication “Sephardic Jews in Southern Slavic Countries”, Belgrade 1992, and two books of Sephardic stories and proverbs. Work is underway on the edition “We Survived … Jews about the Holocaust”. In the period from 2001 until 2005, three volumes have been published in the Serbian language. In 2005 and 2006, the first two volumes have been translated into English. Work is in progress on the fourth volume in Serbian and the translation of the third volume into English.
